Private by design

Your files never leave your device

DocLab is local-first. PDFs you open, edit, and save stay on your computer — there's no account and nothing is uploaded. The only optional network use is a manual update check and opt-in, anonymized crash reports, both off by default. Read the privacy policy →

Good to know

Is DocLab free?

Yes — free on the Microsoft Store. No account, no subscription, no in-app purchases.

Does it upload my files?

No. Everything happens on your device — desktop app and web tools alike. There's no server processing your documents.

What do I need to run it?

Windows 10 or 11. Install from the Microsoft Store and you're ready.

Is there a Mac version?

A macOS version is in the works. For now the desktop app is Windows-only — but the free online tools work on any device, including Mac.

Can I use it without installing?

Yes — the online editor runs entirely in your browser (edit, merge, split, rotate, organize, page numbers, watermark, annotate, image conversion). The desktop app adds OCR, true redaction, and text editing.

Ready to edit PDFs the private way?

Free on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and 11.
